The owner of the hotel was friendly, funny and helpful. He even carried our bags to our room. Fan in the room was a most welcolmed feature. Bath was a good size. Lovely views from our bedroom window.

Beds could of been bigger.Hotel to far out and in the middle of nowhere.Reception area was often left unmanned.

    Superb

Lovely quiet location overlooking fields and few scattered houses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Attractive bar/restaurant with varied menu-basic bar meals and more adventurous-reasonably priced. Large room with spacious bathroom.

Since this was a double room with plenty of space it would have been nice to have two chairs rather than just one.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, very friendly. The room we stayed in was gorgeous, looked newly decorated and had a superb view of the countryside. The price of the room included a full english breakfast and the hotel also had a pub with an excellent dinnermenu. The hotel is very well located for a visit to Oxford or walks in the countryside.

This hotel is in a country village which means it is very quiet. I had some initial problems with the WiFi connection but the staff were a great help and finally got it working for me. There is a good resaurant in the hotel serving excellent food. My room was a little on the small size but not as small as some others I have stayed in during my journey around the UK.

My room was a bit on the small side but adequate for a solo traveller, I would not let this stop me from staying there again.

    Superb

I went up to Buckingshire that weekend to spend Sunday at the Hearing Dogs summer fair at Saunderton. Whilst there also visited Princes Risborough.

Was very impressed with the food at the Peacock, dinner each evening was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and his staff to do for you. Magnificent spot if you are a walker.

We only stayed at the Peacock Hotel for 1 night but would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel nestled in wonderful countryside. The room was beautiful and the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and Full English Breakfast a must.We will certainly be going back! The staff are a credit to their owner.

There was nothing we didnt like.

    Fabulous

The staff were very helpful, lovely atmosphere and the delicious aroma coming from the restaurant was very enticing! Didn't have evening meal but did have the full English breakfast and it was excellent - even the vege breakfast.

    Superb

Staff and service was excellent, lovely location peaceful and quiet. The food was superb, compliments to the chef, the fillet steak was the best I have ever had. Stayed two nights and would definetly come back again. Excellent value and a very relaxing break.

    Fabulous

We only stayed 1 night and found the staff extremely friendly. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed (bathroom a little tiny but didn't bother us at all). The location was lovely and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again

i was able to relax away from a very busy and hectic lifestyle and was able to be alone

that there are too many security cameras that it makes you feel that you are been watched at all times

Our room was easy to access. Clean, Tidy and comfortable. Thestaff were most polite and could have done no more for us. We would certainly return to the same Hotel, should another occassion arise.

No one can help the weather and the lane was dirty, but it did in no way spoil our stay. Maybe a sign lit at the entrance to the hotel would help.

    Superb

Very comfortable room and good, fast breakfast service with buffet cereals, jam, yoghurt and juices. Pleasant bar space and dining area with a friendly staff. Would stay again if in the area.

Some very minor things... Outside the main reception doors is a light which is full of dead insects and clearly has not been cleaned since installation. The reception area - which lacks a reception was a little cold and awkwardly decorated. There is space for some seating but there is none. The local features/tourist leaflets were obstructed by some furniture and an odd mailbox or something. These minor problems could be easily rectified and provide a bad first impression for what is a nice, friendly and well kept hotel in the country.

I am a regular business traveller and enjoyed a recent stay here. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. A charming traditional country inn. Good food an ideal place to relax.

Slightly noisy later on at night from the bar, but did not spoil the stay at all.
